My partner and I had the most incredible stay at Hotel Rural Los Caracoles. The view from our balcony was unlike anything we had ever seen before, overlooking the valley and Mediterranean. The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious, especially the Black Rice with Seafood. The property itself is stunning, with only 12 unique cave rooms shaped like snails. The staff were perfect, and the parrot named Blas added a charming touch. Despite the rooms having a slight bug spray smell, we highly recommend this hotel.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The unique design of the rooms, although the suites were much more 'shell- like' both inside and out than the rooms, although both styles are rustic and charming,(with state of the art TVs!) The hotel staff, particularly one lady, were extremely helpful, and she seemed to be receptionist, chambermaid, chef, waitress and all in one! She offered my parents (in their 80s) a nearer suite and ran back up the steep steps and slopes to change the keys! The views are stunning, the ambience delightful, (the pool was empty but it was March and too cold anyway-we hope to return in summer) the menu and wine superb, and the breakfast included freshly prepared fruit and warm bread rolls. A lovely experience, Gaudi outside Barcelona! We were all enchanted.
We thought it odd that via Booked.net, and even looking on the hotel's own site as we speak Spanish, the only available accommodation was for 1 night only (or we would have stayed 2 or 3) and the only available accommodation to be booked was 1 double room and 1 suite. We arrived, and were the only overnight hotel guests! The staff were pleasant and helpful, but it was as well we spoke Spanish as neither staff could speak English on our arrival, although one staff member at breakfast did speak English. Despite researching the hotel site I did not notice how precipitous the descent and ascent to the rooms or suites from the restaurant and reception were. My elderly parents needed us by them on the pathways as there are some areas not well supported by bannisters, rails or well-lit by night. As it is in spring 2011, it is unsuitable for disabled, elderly or slightly shaky on the feet, or people with severe asthma, brochitis etc. We (fit and in our 40s) loved it.

The hotel was wonderful: it was cleverly designed, the food was good, the views were amazing. We really enjoyed it.
Despite the above, the hotel doesn't have quite enough in terms of places to hang out. The rooms are great, but the pool only had one umbrella (many more needed) and the terrace seemed to be only for diners (thus precluding hanging out there in the evening).

We absolutely loved our stay at Rural Los Caracoles! The location was breathtaking, with stunning views that left us in awe. The unique and quirky rooms added an extra element of fun to our stay. The pool area was a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Although the Wi-Fi wasn't available in the rooms, it worked well in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
One minor inconvenience was that the lights weren't working the first night when we were walking to our room after dark. However, this didn't dampen our overall experience.

Amazing view, clean rooms, and a warm welcome by the owner/staff. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious options to choose from. One small inconvenience was that the heater didn't provide enough warmth, but I believe the place would be even nicer in the summer. However, the staff was quick to address any issues we had, and they were actively working on improving the bungalows. I highly recommend this hotel for its stunning views and welcoming atmosphere.

We had a new year experience at a hotel in the Andalucian hills. The location was incredible, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the Mediterranean sea. The quirky and cute hobbit-like rooms added to the charm of the place. We also enjoyed the delicious food served in the restaurant, it was definitely a highlight of our stay.
There were a few aspects that we did not enjoy. We were hoping to sample the menu, but were only offered the BBQ option.
